Rogers Hometown Hockey midpoint highlights

Season 4 of Canada’s beloved hockey road show continues this month and well into the new year

Twelve stops in the books, a dozen more to go. Season 4 of Rogers Hometown Hockey is in full swing across the country, bringing out fans from coast to coast to share in the passion and pride of our great game. Make sure to mark the calendar and catch Canada’s ultimate touring hockey festival!

Free of charge and open to all hockey fans, each stop of the Rogers Hometown Hockey TourTM presented by Scotiabank and Dodge is a must-see two-day event that celebrates all things hockey. Hosted by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone, there’s live entertainment, local celebrities, NHL® alumni and a multitude of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Each week wraps up with an outdoor viewing party of an NHL® game that will be broadcast nationally on SportsnetTM.

There have been plenty of memorable stops already this year, including visits to Haliburton, Ontario, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and Kingston, Ontario – to name just a few.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey road show has showcased some truly special moments in Season 4: from paying homage to Maritime Black Hockey History in Truro, Nova Scotia, to a look back at the Bobby Orr-Mike Walton Sports Camp on the shores of Lake Couchiching in Orillia, Ontario, to Hall of Fame legend Paul Coffey opening up about his relationship with The Tragically Hip and his first NHL® games.

But there are more highlights to come. More roads to drive, more rinks to skate, more stories to tell.

Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour keeps rolling along with upcoming visits to hockey-rich hot spots Kamloops, British Columbia (January 13-14), Regina, Saskatchewan (February 17-18) and Bathurst, New Brunswick (March 24-25).

If you’re a Rogers customer, you’ll receive all-star access at the festivals via GamePlusTM. Stop by the GamePlus booth at the Rogers Fan hub to redeem for amazing experiences, including NHL® alumni player meet and greets, autographed merchandise, interactive displays and much more.

Rogers Hometown Hockey fans also have the chance to net some sweet weekly prizes when they tune in to the Sunday-evening broadcast on Sportsnet and Sportsnet NOW. Be part of the conversation by tweeting @rogers and using each week’s special hashtag and you’ll be automatically entered for a shot at winning prizes, including a trip to the 2018 Stanley Cup® Playoffs.
