You won’t believe what you’ve been missing when you see sports action broadcast live in glorious 4K. From puck marks on the boards to the game faces worn by your favourite athletes, it’s crystal-clear detail that’s sure to make your jaw drop.

Picture this: tuning in to see your team and feeling like you’re in the middle of all the action. That’s exactly what you can expect when you watch any of the Blue Jays, NHL® and NBA® games in stunning 4K – more than 100 matches in total – in 2017.

And if you can’t catch the big game or your favourite show, there’s no need to worry. The new Rogers NextBox 4K PVR gives you the ability to record up to eight programs at a time and store up to 120 hours of 4K entertainment or 240 hours of HD. Talk about a win-win.

With approximately 300 hours of the very best in baseball, hockey and basketball, fans can punch their ticket to a premium viewing experience on Sportsnet 4K and Sportsnet ONE 4K, available to Rogers customers with a NextBox 4K or NextBox 4K PVR new set-top box, plus a 4K theme pack subscription.

Rogers and Sportsnet teamed up for some notable 4K “firsts” in 2016, from the first live sports broadcast in North America to the first productions and broadcasts of NHL and MLB games. Launched in April 2016, Sportsnet 4K (channel 998) and Sportsnet ONE 4K (channel 997) are North America’s first 24/7 dedicated sports feeds to feature 4K content.

“We all connect with sports because it’s about the great stories of heroes, underdogs, comebacks and glory – and 4K technology allows us to capture the details and put fans in the centre of the action,” said Scott Moore, president, Sportsnet and NHL Properties, Rogers. “We’ve logged hundreds of hours in the 4K production trucks learning how the new technology helps us tell these stories, and in 2017 we’ll build on that momentum to bring these incredible moments to life.”

Speaking of incredible moments, the new year promises to be a home run for anyone who loves of all things sports.

Looking to build on their post-season run in 2016, the Blue Jays will be swinging for the bleachers in 4K. For the second straight year, all 81 regular season Blue Jays home games will be produced and broadcast by Sportsnet in 4K.

You can also hoop it up, NBA style, in 2017, with Sportsnet producing and delivering 14 big-league games in awesome 4K.

It’s time to amp up your viewing experience, sports fans. Get ready to see slam dunks, slap shots and swings of the bat like you never thought possible, all courtesy of Rogers 4K.
