PPV roundup for February 2018

Get ready for UFC 221 and the aptly named Elimination Chamber

UFC 221: Yoel Romero vs. Luke Rockhold
Saturday, February 10 at 9:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet PPV

There will be a new champion crowned when the Octagon moves to the land Down Under for UFC® 221 in Perth, Australia. A serious illness has created a vacancy atop of the middleweight division, so the top two contenders – Yoel “Soldier of God” Romero (12-2-0) and Luke Rockhold (16-3-0) – will square off in the main event for the right to become the interim middleweight titleholder. Current champion Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker was sidelined indefinitely after being hospitalized in January with a staph infection in his stomach. The main card also features a pair of heavyweight tilts, as Mark “Super Samoan” Hunt (13-11-1) takes on Curtis “Razor” Blaydes (8-1-0); and Australia’s own Tai “Bam Bam” Tuivasa (8-0-0) clashes with Cyril “Silverback” Asker (9-3-0). The locals will also have a rooting interest in a welterweight fight between Australian Jake “The Celtic Kid” Matthews (12-3-0) and the dynamic Li “The Leech” Jingliang (14-4-0) from China.

See UFC 221 live from Perth on Saturday, February 10 at 9:30 p.m. ET (pre-show) and 10 p.m. ET (event start) on SportsnetTM Pay Per View. WWE Elimination Chamber
Sunday, February 25 at 8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet PPV

It’s the last pay-per-view event for the superstars of WWE® Raw before Wrestlemania 34, so there will be plenty at stake when they step into the ring at the T-Mobile Arena for the action-packed drama of the Elimination Chamber extravaganza in Las Vegas. Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and John Cena are expected to be among the six participants in the men’s elimination-chamber match that takes place inside a steel cage with a separate pod in each of the ring’s four corners. As the match begins with the first two combatants, the remaining four are each released in five-minute intervals. Eliminations take place via pinfall or submission, with the last man standing in this gruelling match declared the winner. Also expected to make an appearance on the card is UFC megastar Ronda Rousey, who will wreak havoc on the women’s division after signing a WWE contract prior to Royal Rumble in January.

Watch WWE Elimination Chamber à la carte for $54.99. Or order a WWE Network subscription for $12.99/mo. (Channel 512 Ontario/398 Atlantic) through your remote (minimum one-month commitment, includes all monthly PPVs, plus SVOD access and the WWE Network App for 1,000-plus hours of WWE content).
