In pictures: Rogers announces a $500,000 commitment to MLSE LaunchPad

These groundbreaking programs combine sport and education to help youth overcome barriers to achieving their full potential

As part of its ongoing commitment to helping youth reach their full potential, Rogers recently announced a $500,000 investment in MLSE LaunchPad, North America’s first Sport for Development facility in downtown Toronto. Among other things, this donation will support the Ready for School programs designed to give youth throughout the city access to innovative educational programming over the next five years.

Supported by MLSE’s professional sports teams – the Toronto Maple Leafs®, Toronto Raptors and Toronto FC – the 42,000-square-foot facility provides a collaborative space to promote social change by leveraging sport, education and research. Along with former Leafs captain Darryl Sitler and Rogers Hometown HockeyTM co-host Tara Slone, more than 100 enthusiastic youth from the program attended the gala announcement in December. These are just a few of the images from that special day.
