Take Music on the Go with the Stingray Music App

If you’re familiar with Stingray Music’s awesome channels through your TV, you’ll love having all that music in your pocket in app form

Music is the soundtrack of our lives. We listen while we work, play, commute and sometimes even sleep. And it’s all possible thanks to streaming music services like Stingray Music.

Available from the App Store and Google Play, the Stingray Music app is free (yes, free!) to download and can be accessed as part of your subscription to Rogers Cable TV*. Stingray Music provides access to over 2,000 music channels in tons of genres. The service is completely ad free and there’s no annoying talking between songs – it’s all music. Plus, you can enjoy unlimited access and up to eight concurrent logins, so the family can get in on it, too.

You may have listened to Stingray Music channels through your TV at home, but with their free app you can now take those great channels with you on your smartphone. Here are some of its coolest features.

It’s Easy to Get Started

Signing up is simple in just three steps:

  1. Download the app (iOS and Android).
  2. Sign up for a Stingray Music account using your email or Facebook login.
  3. Authenticate through the Stingray Music channels on your TV (channels 712 to 750, and 402 to 440 for Mountain cable customers), and you’re all set.

Listen during your morning commute to the office, while going for a run, relaxing in your favourite local coffee shop or even at home while making dinner as the kids watch TV.

Personalized Listening

Choose a channel, browse personalized recommendations, or search to find channels featuring your favourite artists. For the perfect track mix, discover even more channels by combining up to three filters, including genre, activity, mood, theme and era, via the Vibes channels.

The sleep timer shuts a channel off when desired, and autoplay resumes the same channel the next time the app is launched. Create up to eight profiles per account by saving each person’s preferences.

Tons of Listening Options

Sure, throwing on a pair of earbuds is a great personal listening experience. You can also cast Stingray Music to AirPlay, Google Chromecast or Chromecast Audio. Plus, it works with various Bluetooth and Wi-Fi speakers, as well as Sonos. Heading out on the open road? Connect your phone and play your saved music channels using voice commands through Android Auto and, soon, via Apple CarPlay.

Stingray lets you access all of the hottest new releases and favourite tunes from virtually anywhere. And the best part: it’s free.
